Bolton Excellency Centre wedding venue owner being prosecuted for having no compotent pest control

It is alleged they served food contaminated by mice

The wedding venue which is situated in Bolton is alleged to have served food to guests that was contaminated by mice from and ongoing mouse infestation that was running unchecked.

Allegedly sacks of ingredients were contaminated by mice that were entering from under a fire door. It is also alleged by the Environmental Health Officer that the standards of hygiene in the premises were lacking. The court will sit again on this matter in June.

Any food premises that does not have ongoing pest prevention is asking for trouble, pest control is not expensive in the long run, with the courts regularly handing out fines in excess of £20,000 how can the proprietors think they are saving money by NOT having pest control.
