Council quashes fears of rat infestation – Rat control Newcastle

RatNO evidence of a rat infestation has been found at Bristol Port following an investigation by the city council.

Residents reported seeing an alarming increase in rodents just weeks after a fly infestation took hold at a recycling firm on the docks.

But the council said pest control officers had visited sites around the port and found no cause for concern.

Council spokeswoman Hilda Kalap said: “Pest control officers carried out a thorough investigation and have found no evidence of an infestation at all.

“The port authority, which also has its own pest control contractors, says it has no concerns either.”

She added that pest control officers could not access a nearby railway line to carry out further investigations, as it is owned by Network Rail.
