Giant rat attacks girl in Sunderland - Weekly-World-News-Sep-24,-1985

This is a cutting from the Weekly World News from 1985.

A girls was attacked in the Sunderland bus station by a giant rat. Luckily a bus driver saw the incident and whipped out his adjustable flame butane lighter to fend off the rat by burning the rats soft underbelly.

Pest Control in Sunderland was a lot different in 1985. Do you think if the hero bus driver would be taken to court by the RSPCA for the way he kept the rat at bay?
