Like an unusual pizza topping? How about mouse poo?

Mouse control is an important part in controlling pest mice in Newcastle

A woolwich pizza delivery shop has been fined for delivering pizza with mouse poo in the boxes. The shop called Pizza Inn which is run by a Mr Wagas Amin was fined at court for several hygiene offences and was fined a total of £2,320.62 by the magistrates at Bexley.

The Environmental Health Officers found dirty kitchens and droppings from mice on bench tops where food was prepared and in the pizza boxes.

The pest controller had been in two weeks before and reported that mice were active in all areas, the pest controller also put forward proposals to deter the rodents and improve the situation, neither had been acted upon by the owner.

The Pizza Inn was closed for two days to allow the infestation to be controlled properly by the pest controller.

This line rings bells for me “The pest controller had been in two weeks before and reported that mice were active in all areas”. If the pest control contractor had found an infestation of mice he should be following it up at LEAST weekly, he certainly shouldn’t be waiting fourteen days or more as he has in this case. Many pest control companies will sell you a contract on the cheap but the old adage “You get what you pay for” comes to mind. At Pest Pro, if you have mice we follow up at least weekly.
