The Fine Kentish Meats butcher J.C. Rook and Sons has been fines £34,610 at court after Environmental Health Officers found an ongoing mouse infestation at the store in Maidstone.
Aswell as the mouse problem the EHO found housekeeping and the cleaning regimen to be sadly lacking.

Since the Environmental Health Officers inspection J.C Rooks and Sons has put in place a new pest control system and changed the way they manage their hygiene and food safety.

According to social media sources the Mall Chequers in which the butchers is situated has a longstanding problem with mice.
