Mouse infestation gets grocer taken to court

Environmental Health Officers have served an notice on a Halal food store to stop it using a mouse infested area. The Barkat Food Store in Derby Street, Bolton The Health inspectors say that food contamination in the area was imminent and closure was the only option in this case.

There was no mention in the report to suggest that the store had ongoing pest control inspections. As part of any pest control service reports would be left onsite recommending the best and safest way to progress with any type of pest infestation.

    Mice can be a real problem this time of year as they seek refuge from the harsh Winter weather, if food is left lying around too then mice are likely to show up. I hope this is resolved quickly.
