An Augusta woman says a rat infestation is forcing her to leave her home.

La’Kisha Johnson has lived in River Ridge Apartments on 13th street in Augusta, for less than a year, and several months ago she noticed rats in her apartment.

She says her landlord sent a pest control company but the problem hasn’t gotten any better.

Johnson says her breaking point was when one of the rats allegedly bit her son.
